For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.They were lovely! I put in quarter of a packet of Paxo in the mix and it really enhanced the pork flavour. I forgot to add salt and pepper but it didn't matter.
Having sealed the top and bottom of each one, I then put them in the oven for 35 minutes. I made 12 in all and we had four each. Too many for me. I had two more today cold, as sandwiches. Really, really nice.
Thanks to all of you who gave me advice. They were a bit of mix and match from eveyones suggestions. I think the addition of a squirt of tomato puree, as suggested by Pasta, added another level to the taste. A plain tomato sauce and some tagliatelle went beautifully with them.
I shall certainly make them again.
