What I meant to say was there was only one other player involved in the incident which led to the death so it is obvious who has been arrested. As such it is not speculation to name him. If the deleted answers were deleted because they named him, they have been wrongly deleted.

time spent on the Abu Hamza judgement is worth it - judges say "if we take this spoiling the case froo publicity" too seriously then we will never get the chance to bang the gavel.

extending the contempt laws to the investigation ( usually after charging) is coming it a bit

oh yeah and someone said it would interfere with the investigation ( such as the police were doing in Steven Laurences case hur hur hur) as people discuss it and come forward

This cant be libel - it is true - so long as mr X really is the one arrested. The English tend to gold-plate rules and this is an example ( IMO)
