Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

fill in the blanks with the name of a musical instrument - you will have to ignore spellings snd stretch your imagination to complete the story:-

Joe met ena on a - PIANO - liner. She looked marvellous in an - --------- - pleated skirt. with a bunch of - VIOLA - at her waist. Hearing her - -------- like voice he rushed to meet her, falling over a - DRUM - of oil as he did so. Would you like to meet me at the - CONCERTINA- he said. No she replied I would rather hear the - BANJO -. Before they went Joe said if he didnt get -ACCORDIAN- he would get a chill. They decided to play cards but Ena said to Joe "when you should play a high card why do you always -PICCOLLO-and when I played an ace why did you -TRUMPET -? Lets have an ice cream - CORNET- said Joe. He kissed her -VIOLIN-tly as a -CYMBAL-of his affection. Then he went away and drank a -HARP- , lit a - pipe - and watched the sailors -CASTANET- while he looked over the side.

I think you had it right yesterday with AN accordian pleated skirt, whereas A accordian he would get a chill doesn't sound right.
Hope that makes sense.

yes but if you read it as "if he didnt get "a caridgan" it makes more sense. It is really annoying me now I was waking up in the night thinking what word could go where!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was just that yesterday you put A then the blank for the word so the word would have to start with a consonant not a vowel.

Yes, yesterday you had "if he didn't get a etc."
Suggestion: If he didn't get a muffler he would get a chill.
Muffler is not an actual instrument but is used on a saxaphone.

but the other instruments are well-known.

I agree with accordion pleated. If he eventually drank a harp, maybe he felt that he needed a Bass soon to warm him up. Not entirely convinced but..............
