Getting Auto Logged Out Of Every Site All At Once, For No Reason?

Every now & then i find, for no reason i can see, that ive been logged out of everything - facebook, ebay, amazon, emails etc etc etc - this site too - & i have to log into them all - all at the same time!
Why & how does this happen?
Is it something im doing? i cant think of anything im doing that i dont do every day

i know some sites have setting that say they will ask you to change your pw every so often, but this isnt that, its just signed me out.

any ideas? :)

Is your browser set to not accept basic cookies.

Is your browser set to delete all cookies upon closing down.

Do you browse in incognito mode.

Do your clear your cache regularly.

All of the above will log you out of any sites you visit.

My guess is your browser has closed and reopened for an automatic update and you have it set to clear cookies on closing.

You need to look at your browser settings (normally accessed via somewhere at top right of the screen) then select ‘Privacy and security’ to see the individual settings.

There should be the option to set the privacy and security settings for individual websites that you visit.

Thanks all, but no, its none of those, i dont have it set to delete, or itd be deleting everyday.

It happens about twice a year, i guess - its hard to say as the gaps are very long - im going to make a note of this date & again when the next one happens.

I havent cleared the cache & theres no time limits set, & there are 100s of cookies still there, so it didnt delete them.

its just the sites that you have to sign in to.

I get updates for windows often enough but they never do this - a few times its happened while i was in the middle of using the sire, it refreshed & was at the log in screen!

Those sites are always logged into & on, i restart my laptop often, but i rarely turn it off for any length of time.

is there anything that can 'trigger' this?

my internet security didnt flag anything up.
