Going to have family here at Christmas & was thinking ahead  about playing cards, which personally haven't done for years (decades), & can't remember the hands. What is it one tries to collect, pairs, runs & threes etc.  what is the order?

Brief outline of the game to memory-jog appreciated.

Thanks Chris, I'm not sure why that restricts it to just two players, we used to play with about six, perhaps that was a variation.
