Should Old Bald Men Shave Their Heads?
Watching John Higgins tonight ( Champions of Champions snooker. ITV3) Oh dear ! He never had much on top but with a shaved head and a ridiculous shiny shirt, attempting to look like a teenager, (which no teenager would ever wear). Should (we) seniors not more readily accept what & who we are ?
Waistcoats (for pocketing chalk ) & bow-ties for tradition & decorum.... please ?

You make me sick.
Your profession makes me sick.
Not because of what you do but because of your judgmental attitudes.
A bald head fgs...
Nailedit; you're at the moment a fat drunk. And you're lashing out at people because you think they might be coppers and at the moment you hate everybody (maybe not your granddaughter).
Get over it, and start treating people as you'd liked to be treated.
Be careful as you go, and don't start arguing with people you meet (especially uniforms).
Hope to hear from you tomorrow.
Arrest a business man with a suit and tie who is coked up to the eyeballs and works in the city (London)
Compare that with a bald headed man from a deprived council estate in the Midlands who is simply trying to get home)
Both are knacke6 but trying to achieve the the same aim.
Think the man with the neat hair cut and suit will fair better in court.
I chose to be bald, never owned a suit in my life, and will be myself. If I get judged for that then so be it!
Where have I felt sorry for myself?
Where do do you get this idea from that I feel sorry for myself from?
Is it because I got my head kicked in recently?
Is that feeling sorry for myself?
Or for pointing out that the police get away with assault?
Is that feeling sorry for myself?
Pointing out injustices is not feeling sorry for one's self.
It's an attempt to bring a wider understanding to public attention.
Because I have a shaved head does not make me a thug as retrocop would have us believe and (as I've recently encountered been on the end of) doesn't require legalised violence
Anyway, Nailedit. Pax?
My hair started falling out when my career started fizzling out. I gradually went bald and you chose to shave your head. I didn't care what I looked like (not much choice!) and you may have chosen to look like a hard man?
Life is funny, n'est-ce pas?
I hope you keep your spirits up and everything else, including your kindness levels.
Retrocop - // I have my opinions Hughes. //
Indeed you do, and you express them often and volubly, which is your privilege.
That priviledge does not entitle you to address me so rudely.
For the record, I am happy with my user name – ‘andy-hughes’, ‘Andy’ if you wish to be informal, ‘Mister Hughes’ if you wish to be formal, and ‘Hughes’ not at all under any circumstances.

As for your ‘calling’ – do get over yourself. You were a police officer not a Catholic priest, your job was a career choice, not a ‘calling’.
