Funny you should say that, it did cross my mind at the time I made that suggestion, but then KingyMcKingface seemed so unlikely 😀

I love the version of God save the King' by Britten, usually only heard at the Proms- so powerful and far better that it is from the normal one.

Why would anyone want to save the Present King ? or even Camilla.

the title is most apt for your castle-in-the-sky's location, gully - and not the same power as the Brit one in whatever variation that you choose.

God save the king is a dreary dirge. I'm always a bit embarrassed when it's played at football matches etc.

I'd be happy for it to be ditched for something a bit more upbeat.

DTCwordfan, yes it was this years world cup and this is a piece taken from RUCK the magazine about rugby, he sang god save the Queen instead of god save the King

no wonder Farrell isn't playing in the 6 Nations - the stress has got to him or the one memory cell isn't working.

Well depends what he was singing: the words to the Liechtenstein anthem and I agree he's lost it.

But hands up who's not sung "queen" in the last year ...

Yes maybe ichkeria but it was funny watching the captain of England singing the wrong words.  I watched the game and I rewound it because I thought I must have been seeing things but no there he was singing God Save The Queen.
