It depends on how much and how long before they die.

Depends on whether their estate is liable for IHT, even then if they live for 7 years after giving you the gift there will not be any tax to pay

If they die within 7 years. You get taper relief from to zero after 7 years. You may not if their total estate does not exceed the threshold.
