Nice small gardening equipment

I am starting to think about people's xmas presents and what to get the lady I work with. She has a balcony on her flat that she has just started to decorated with pots of flowers etc. I would like to get her some tools, maybe a little trowel etc. But not a nasty looking normal one from somewhere like B & Q. I wondered if there was anything with decorative handles or something like that? I'd really appreciate any help!

Why not buy some plain ones and decorate them yourself perhaps with her name etc

Try "garden tool gift", you should find a couple.

They're not particularly pretty,I've googled for some nicer ones but can't find anything yet!

You can get a device a bit like those retractable key ring thingies that you attatch to a bracket and then to a hanging basket that allows you to pull it down, water it and then let it go back up to normal height ... very handy !

buy her an iron and a dust pan and brush, women always like things like that, maybe a giant size box of Brillo pads!!

Maybe another useful gift you could buy her is some water retention crystals which come in little sachets and can be bought in all good garden centres. . They're ideal for mixing with the compost in patio and window box containers to reduce the amount of watering needed since they help to retain moisture in the soil. Small containers dry out very quickly in hot weather and these will reduce her workload.
