192 service
I am trying to trace the whereabouts of an old schoolfriend. I see that she & her husband are shown on the 192 website as being registered on the 2012 Electoral Register but I cannot access her address without subscribing to the site.
I'm dubious about registering & paying a fee, although I have read the terms & conditions, and wonder if any of you have done so. Do you think it is worth pursuing and if so, how much does it cost?
Any advice much appreciated.

It used to be free or "credits" could be earned by subscribing to some questionnaires. Needless to say, when they started charging I chose not to subscribe.
If you are searching for someone who you know lives on a fairly short road you can make repeated searches using every number on the road until you get the required "hit". You are limited to 10 free searches a day though so the above approach could get rather tedious!
