Will you be doing anything special in terms of food for New Year's Eve?

I'm going to make a curry which we'll have with some accompaniments like samosas and bhajeees. I doubt I'll do a pud, we have a box of after eights, a box of maltesers, and a few fererro roche to finish.

I made my curry this morning, it smells delicious, and all the samosas and bhajees are lined up ready for the oven, peshwari naan is defrosted and ready to be heated.

My starter has been the remainder of a box of after eight eaten about an hour ago 🙄

Enjoy your meal this evening 😋

It's American fare tonight as we have two NFL games to watch

BBQ ribs

sesame chicken strips

loaded fries

We are having a joint of gammon, some roast veg and a citrus, rum and raisen sauce.  Then we will have the gammon again tomorrow with egg and chips!

Both meals sound very tasty.

I used to make a huge effort on New Year's Eve and do something which took all day to prepare, including a starter and a pud. I enjoyed doing it, it was all part of new year, but these days I really just haven't got either the energy or inclination to spend hours in the kitchen. A one pot curry will just hit the spot too.

I made a Chicken, leek and pototo casserole + plus mixed other veg from the fridge I only managed to eat half so most likely be that, I had some mini duck spring rolls but they didn't make it to today.

I also have a Dairy Milk winter Orange Crisp Chocolate bar, 360g... half still left.

Sausage sandwich already eaten.

Always used to have a roast on NYE to line our stomachs before going out but these days we can't be bothered.

so will be doing a roast tomorrow instead

Two minute steaks with chips and buttered mushrooms for me and partner tonight, followed with sherry trifle. No advocaat left, onto the cherry brandy and then onto the Whyte and McKays tomorrow.

Some smoked gammon, cheese and pickles and cheese biscuits, more gammon egg and chips for dinner tomorrow.

Got some sausages need using up, and quite a few bread  rolls, so hot dogs & onions it is! Will make up a nice salad too. Washed down with a white wine or two.
