What if you had never seen Vorderman's Instagram pages and yet you had seen her political comments elsewhere? Would her comments mysteriously lose whatever gravitas you thought they held because of the other?

Whether she looks great or ridiculous, her political comments - serious or otherwise - stand separately.

I think Ms Vorderman has a perfect right to enhance her body as she sees fit, and agaim if she wishes to appear dressed as a Japanese sex doll, that is her person choice, and entitlement.

But that does not make her game for an ignoreant mysoginist to have a pop at her in public because he thinks such a personal presentation bars her from holding valid opinions on anything at all, including politics.

If we relied on make commentators, or heaven forbid poiliticains, to pass a certain level of perceived physical attraction in order to be elected, or be able to offer a view on a public forum, then the Commons would empty of its entire male population overnight.

Fortunately, such measures of suitability are only made in the small minds of insecure frigthened, evolutionary throwbacks, with Mr Bailey as their poster boy.
