residecy order
i want to get a residecy order for my 2 kids my ex has hardly ever lived with me in 8 yrs of marriage he divorced me last year
i have always looked out for what was best for my 2 kids so i let their father see them but i have a strange feeling hes upto somthing and each time iask him if he is trying for custody he laughs
he has never spent money on the kids the only reason he always left was he did not want the responcibility so im i right to be concerned .help please

They will then list a hearing before the judge,usually within 4 weeks,and the judge will make a decision as to how often or not your ex can see the children.He will be sent a copy of the application so that he may attend himself.
it sounds to me like ur ex is trying to worry you however you could apply for a resedence order and would be granted it ( under most sercumstances ) he does however have perental responsability if you were married at the time of your childrens birth so you would have to inform him of the fact that you are applying for the order, so unless he wants to stop you and can prove good cause for doing so you would be granted it. try not to worry ive been there and done this all myself and everything is fine now
