It Will Never Make It To Strictly

Good evening, all!
I hope that you've not put on too much weight over the Christmas period and that at least one or two of you still have a few New Year's resolutions which are yet still unbroken 😀
There's just the main quiz this week, as there's no junior one. (I'm hoping that's just because CBBC's Newsround programme has been taking a Christmas break, rather than the quiz disappearing altogether).
It might be a new year but nothing much seems to have changed for me, as I scored my regular FOUR out of seven once again:

Can you do better?

I managed the same score as you 4/7
I very much enjoyed a lovely few weeks celebrating with family and friends, which has meant lots of lovely food and drink. Then we have been out today celebrating my mum's birthday, so naturally there has been more cake involved.
I'm hoping dry January will help towards a little weight loss to make up for it all!
Hope the kitties didn't put on too much weight with all their delicious treats.
Wishing you and them a wonderful week ahead :-)
4/7 v 1/7 Good start to 2024, like the weather : we have a pump permanently stationed behind the house to clear the run off from the hill behind us. To be expected I suppose if you live in the Preselis. I see your weather hasn't been too clement either
Wormed his Lordship on Tuesday, I swear he's been eating twice as much since then.
A very happy new year to you , Chequers , Moonbeam and Tablo :-)
I feel sure, Clover, that
(a) you'll beat me easily next week ; and
(b) your bathroom scales must simply have developed a fault over the Christmas period 😊
Welcome to the club, Karamia!
It sound like you've been turned into a real party animal! (I'm glad that you've been enjoying your self, anyway).
With so much rain and flooding around, I doubt that anyone will really have much of a 'dry' January!
Then only way to tell when Chequers puts on weight is to see if a massive fork lift truck can still carry him! (He's a BIG cat!). Moonbeam used to be a skinny little thing but he seems 'solid' (rather than 'fat') nowadays. Tablo always stays much the same.
All the best to you from me and the Terrific Trio!
Oh well, Haras2. At least you're likely to improve your score over the next few weeks!
Trying to worm my lot is nearly impossible. I can sometimes manage to hide flea tablets in their food but they won't go near anything that's got worming treatment in or on it. (The 'spot-on' stuff is no better. It typically takes me at least a fortnight just to catch one cat to apply it to!).
Yes, our weather hasn't been to great either. My 8½ mile journey to Morrisons this afternoon became a journey of around 20 miles instead, simply to find a route that wasn't under flood. People attending a quiz night in a pub not far from me ended up staying the night there because it was impossible for them to get home!
Happy New Year to you and Shady from me and the gang!
I see that you've given yourself some room for improvement in the weeks to come, Canary42 😊
Hi, Campbellking!
Welcome to the club!
My lot aren't too keen on the latest weather either and only venture outside when it's absolutely necessary. Moonbeam has now abandoned the bed I bought for him, preferring to sleep on the office chair in my bedroom. Tablo likes to sleep on my bed, cuddling up next to me at night. Chequers likes to sleep at the foot of my bed. So I get the company of all three cats at night (and, indeed, for much of the day too).
We're all fine thanks. I hope that you and the Delightful Duo are all having a lovely start to the new year.
