Pope Calls For Universal Ban On Surrogate Parenting

Still pondering this a bit but at the moment I think I agree with him - although not for the same reasons.  What say you?

The problem with the pope is that he wasn't just talking about future surrogates, he was also talking about past surrogates ... telling people that their very birth is deplorable. What an idiot ...

The church has an opinion because it's their job to moralise and spout opinions whether welcome or not.

Why anyone else would think it's any of their business though is hard to understand. If there are people wanting to do it and others prepared to facilitate it let them get on with it.

The elders in any religion automatically assume an unchallenged state of superiority, with which they look down on lesser mortals - which is everyone else.

That attitude enables them to strive of the place at tgw top, which of course in their mind is simply waiting for them to get there.

Then they can start casting their opinions far and wide. 

The notion that their opinion may be invalid, ill informed, or just plain wrong, would not enter their minds for a second  except to pantomime a little faux humility now and again to convince everyone that they are still really humble underneath it all.
