Have a look at one before you buy, if possible.  See if you are comfortable with the keyboard, screen etc.  It's certainly more than good enough for what you want on the inside but there is more to it than that.

What made you choose that make/model?

Just bought the IdeaPad51 Chromebook (14") and very pleased with it - have always used Lenovo.

I agree with "barry1010" although try and get one without Windows 11 S mode.

It is possible to disable "S" mode and revert to Windows 11 Home, which is what I would do 😄

Good point, I hadn't noticed the S mode but for memoirs it shouldn't present a problem

Following 15.37 - Chromebook does not use Windows  .. they run Chrome OS.
