//The reciprocal air strikes come as tensions in the Middle East are high with several overlapping crises.

Israel is fighting the Palestinian group Hamas in Gaza and exchanging fire with Iran-backed Hezbollah in Lebanon, Iran-backed groups in Iraq and Syria are targeting US forces, and the US and UK have struck the Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen, who have been attacking shipping.//

I was amazed by this.

I think both Pakistan & Iran are hotbeds of terrorist groups. The difference is the Pakistan government appears to want to deter them whilst Iran actively encourages them.

This has been going on for some time. It might be the first time there's been a quick retaliatory strike.

Where next? Venezuela and Guyana?

Wouldnt surprise me at all if Iran, supported by Russia and China, are behind a lot of the unrest there.

The mad Mullahs need taking out, preferably by their own people.

pakistan is mostly sunni, iran shia so never the twain under the same supposed go will meet, unless it's against the west of course.

Ashes and diamonds. Foe and friend. We were all equal in the end. " ...

the West will never stop telling Iran who its leaders should be. They invaded neutral Persia in 1941, to keep it in line. In 1953, when Iran had rashly held democratic elections, the UK and US staged a coup to overthrow the elected leader and put the shah in control. When Iran and Iraq went to war, the great brains of the Foreign Office decreed that Saddam was the man to back.

And they say the mullahs are mad...

Unsurprised. If sending missiles into a neighbouring nation, expect a response.

The whole world seem to be taking advantage of existing military action grabbing media/public attention to start their own hostilities. If the west doesn't act as the world's police then who will ? The world is already getting more and more perilous day by day. We don't need that; no caught up civilian does.

For those of us with long memories - even more so if you have studied History - it's been becoming rather alarming for  some time.
