In this day and age, what gift would a girl really appreciate for her 21st birthday?

I've had a few 21sts to buy for recently and have given nice, good quality birthstone necklaces.  They've all been really pleased with them.

I bought somebody a Bichon Frise! I asked what they wanted and that was it. If they'd have said a Mac book or similar, I would have got that. Best to ask, I think.

Dear Maydup, I can only speak for what I would appreciate, A notebook, that each family and close friend has written in, mail the notebook around to everyone, fill it with life advice, cute stories of what she did as a baby, favorite memories from school, add pictures or what ever brings that warm loving feeling for your special young lady. That, or like an Amazon gift card.
