No thread appears to have been started, which is a surprise.

I thought this puzzle was exceptionally neat. Some nice clues too.

Many thanks, Ploy.

I agree. A steady solve with new revelations throughout and a lovely symmetrical and unambiguous ending.  Thanks Ploy

Far from an easy solve.

We were charmed but somewhat confused by the puzzle's lack of conclusion.

Thanks, Ploy.

I thought this was exceptional from a setter's perspective. It's rare that I get through a puzzle, then tot up all the extra/removed letters and find that everything fits exactly. It's a high-quality puzzle. I don't agree about the lack of conclusion: the grid-fill demands it.

I'm also unsure how exactly it was set. Many thanks, Ploy!

A satisfyingly self-contained puzzle. Nice, once in a while, to have a puzzle that doesn't require endless internet searches.

I agree that the puzzling aspects and construction were good. But the theme is utterly abstruse. I can find a solution that satisfies the rubic and clues, but no connection between two parts of the endgame and the third. Probably obvious to those for whom it is obvious!

Interesting comments here; unlike Philoctetes, I found connections between the endgames straightforward, but with a full grid am still puzzling over two of the clues!  Enjoyed this a lot.  After a fairly easy start, progressively more difficulty. A very nice checking mechanism allowed a couple of abiguity resolutions.  Thanks, Ploy.
