I guess you know I mean guy from dogs home but he sent me message asking if I wany to go for lunch this week and I haven't replied. We'll someone at dogs home who use to work with him said be very careful as he is a perv and arrogant got a thing with blondes and disabled people. Yesterday I was walking and he pulled over he got a new car so didn't recognise him straight away so from there he gave me a lift and asked has anything changed in my life as I don't come out no more and not myself I said no. What do I say now to this?

If he asks "why?", Abbey, and you do not want bothered by him, tell him you do not want any contact with him and will he please leave you alone.

I just say I'm busy all time I guess which I tried then he said am I skint also I don't spend when out with him.

That says a lot - you are using him, when it suits, then.

Tell him you do not want to socialise with him, and you do not want him kerb crawling beside you when you are out walking.  

Also tell him if he continues to give you unwanted attention, you will report him to police for harassment. 

  You are better to cut all contact with this man, because he will not stop until you force him to stop.  You need to be firm, and blunt and do not be afraid of offending him.

Ringlet I think in order to report him to the police, she would have to prove that she had rejected him before and that she had not encouraged him.

she could not do that due to the gifts, lunches and lifts she has accepted.

Abbey, spend a bit of time with a pen and paper and write down exactly what it is that you want to say to this man.

Something alsong the lines that you have been grateful for his friendship and kindness but that you really feel that you want to move on with your life and part of that will be not accepting any lifts, or presents from him or socialising with him. Tell him that you won't mind the occasional text but you can't guarantee that you will always reply.

Use your best hand-writing and then photograph it and send it to him.

I do offer to pay he refuses also he bought one of the ladies down dogs home hand wash. I don't police will do anything right now
