I want to explain to you that my elder sister does not have a computer, so no email, and no direct debit. to get her phone working 24/7

I provide that for her - she uses my computer, email address and my direct debit.

When I was knocked down last August I sure could have died.

What way could my sister could access the above for her to go on with her business.  She would miss her phone very badly as it is her lifeline to the outside world - but who would she paid it - no email address, 

 

Can anybody point me in the direct direction for her to become independent when I am gone.  No, she has no family or as far as I can see she would have no help should I die.

If she already uses your computer could she get one of her own .Then  she could set up all her direct debits from her own accounts.

She needs to call her phone provider and tell them she wants to change the bank the direct debit is paid from.  They will ask her account number and that will be it

Sorry jinnyjoan ,I think that I misunderstood your question. When you put that she 'uses' your computer I thought that you meant she was  actually coming to your house . Barry has given you a better answer with regards to her phone.

It might still be a good idea if she was set up with, and instructed in the use of a simple tablet or smartphone. She'd have her own email address...that would be a step towards independence.

Your sister does not need access to a computer to set up and maintain a computer - she just phones her bank or pops in.

Just get her to set up the phone with her own bank - bish bash bosh sorted
