Nail Biting

Has anyone got a sensible foolproof method for nail biting? Genuine helpful advice wanted. Have tried all the stuff you buy, no good at all. Even tried being hypnotised, did not work. Thanks in anticipation

( though I do hack at my toenails!!!!...can't believe I just admited to that)...
I'm a lifelong nail biter. I once stopped biting for a few months but hated having to cut them.
I think the most important thing is to actually want to stop. Not just because someone tells you to or you think the nails look bad, you have to genuinely want to give up.
The only reason I have for giving up nailbiting is to make opening cellophane packaging easier.

I have bitten my nails for years but then got a job in an estate agents where I had to type peoples details into the pv. I felt so embarrased at how my nails looked - I bit all the skin round the edges too (YUK I know!).
I used a blear nail hardener to help get them stronger and then a subtle silvery polish. When I went to bite them they looked a bit better so I left them alone.
I now have nice nails and dont want ot bite them anymore - this has only taken me till I am 42!! Also geting married helped as I didnt want gross hands then. Good luck!!

i would go with some gel nails. - they look immediately good, are very strong and your own nails will grow underneath. I had acrylics before, and bit them off, but the gels are impossible to bite off. one of mine fell off the other day, and the nail underneath is so nice i didnt vother having another extension on
