Corfu Old Town.

A few of us are considering going to Corfu old town for a couple of weeks. Has anyone been and if so, is there much to do? We are an ecletic bunch. For myself I like to walk...lots. Some of the others like visiting historical buildings, eating out etc etc.

Is it worth it, is it noisy, is it interesting?

Only was in it for a short period en route to Sidari in the North - seemed busy but maybe because people from a cruise ship were visiting.  I think, for myself, two weeks might be too long to stay there.  Beautiful scenery going North and I imagine good hiking and forest trails.

Two weeks would be too long for me, much better to head for some of thr resorts on the coast, but choose those carefully as some are full of young boozey Brits. Corfu has some lovely quiet resorts particularly on the west coast.

Corfu town might also be hot and stifling in mid summer

Corfu Old Town is a beautiful location with a rich culture, a long history, and lots of activities for your group.

 

Historical Buildings:

Walking:

Corfu Old Town is good if you like to walk.

Corfu Old Town hosts various cultural events, especially during the summer months. You might come across concerts, art exhibitions, or local festivals. The Spianada Square is often a hub of activity.

 

Noise Level:

Noisy in the summer Pleasant in the october.
