Problem With Itv X

Trying to watch The Winter King episode 5 on ITV X but it won't open..any ideas please?

it opens ok for me, but theres a warning it contains prolonged violence, have you unchecked the parental lock?

What type of device are you using?  (Smart TV? Windows PC/laptop? Android device? Amazon Fire TV Stick? Roku device? Something else?).

[If it's a smart TV, the make and model number might help].

Start by trying the old trick of switching it off and switching it back on again.  [NB: Don't just turn the telly off though. Disconnect it from the mains power altogether and wait a few minutes before powering it up again].

You need to remember though that the apps on smart TVs often have limited lifespans.  When newer versions are brought out, they're not always compatible with older TV sets.  So it's possible that ITV X is now using a version of the app that's not compatible with your TV set.  (Some people have found certain apps have ceased working only a year or two after they've purchased a new TV.  You might need to use an Amazon Fire TV Stick, or a Roku device, to continue to get ITV X, which has a very poor reputation for its stability on many devices).

We have a fairly new Smart TV (LG) and a fairly comprehensive Sky package but we couldn't get ITV X to watch this series, after fiddling and trying to download apps we ended up getting a Chromecast to watch it with straight from laptop. Downside is we thought it was dull, ugly and boring and gave up on it - stunned on how bad it was after thinking The Last Kingdom by the same author as some of the best TV ever.

Well, we have a recent LG TV and no trouble with ITVX. We've watched the whole series of The Winter King and enjoyed it.
