Combined Printer/Scanner

Hoping to get some advice here! I am going to update my printer and scanner. Looking towards a dual one to save space and was wondering whether anyone can recommend one. Does anyone do a 'semi-professional' one without it costing an arm and a leg?
As I make birthday cards I need one that has excellent reproduction. Apart from day to day stuff I also reproduce photos, appointment cards for work, masses of printing of quiz sheets for charities (text and photos). It also has to take textured card which my Epson Stylus C62 does not like very much !
Am I asking for too much or is there a machine out there for me. Any advice greatfully received.
