People were mouth-frothing on here about Johnson and his missing WhatsApp message...I wonder if they'll do the same with St Urgeoun.

“I have said before i have no truck with either Bojo or Wee Burney.I might be a unionist,Steg, but perhaps better that than a nationalist seperatist such as you.”
Are we perhaps getting our definitions of “nationalist” confused?
I’ve no idea what Ms Sturgeons politics are other than she wants to see Scotland free of the “yoke” of England and would prefer to see it replaced with an even stronger yoke of Brussels. But Mr Johnson is a Conservative and a Unionist. That is, he supports the Union of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, which makes up the UK.
Are you suggesting that anybody of that ilk but who does not support the UK’s EU membership (rather like Mr Johnson) is a “nationalist” or a “separatist”? If so, then by definition those who support such membership must be “Federalists.” And that idea demonstrates quite plainly (as if any demonstration was needed) that the EU has ambitions to evolve into a Federation of European nations. And that is one of the principle reasons why so meany people vote Leave.
They weren’t too worried about having to have their passport stamped when they went for a week in Benidorm, or that the price of beetroot may increase by a penny once it was free from EU control. They were more concerned with the idea that their nation would be subsumed into a Federal Europe and that they would lose what little control that they had over their politicians entirely. Does that make them “Nationalists”?
