My burning question is why do total strangers feel the need to tell me I'm tall?  Do they tell people they are short?  I'm an old man - I realised many years ago that I am tall.

My embarrassing question is, why don't people living in Australia realise they upside down?  I know gravity is keeping them stuck to earth, like a magnet, but why isn't their hair hanging the wrong way?

Since I am 'older' and I am talking to someone, when I have finished, no matter what I've been talking about, they always say 'ah, bless'.

WHY? They never used to say it to me when I was younger.

Barmaid, I am loving the fone on silent! LOL.

nobody ever tells me "you're so middle-sized", even though I am. (Though actually my middle is quite a size.)

I am waiting for a post along the lines of "Why does my wife ignore my messages?"

Barsel, I've no idea.  How patronising.  I'd be inclined to pat them on the head - one of the advantages of being tall is the ability to pat anyone on the head.

Every man in Oldham has a bald head from when their mother used to pat them on the head when they were children. Tis true folks! 😉 😊

I still have a full head of hair, William Roache style, and every bald man I have known tells me it is the headboard that caused the baldness.

You'd think men would choose to get rid of the headboard, or sleep the other way with the feet at the headboard end

The headboard? Who sleeps with their head pressing against the headboard?

I've still got a full head of hair too, Barry. Never gave any thought to the headboard thing, I must admit. Can't see how it figures.

it doesn't figure - baldness comes from inside not outside

Question Author

I am definitely bald inside.

Now a better question would be: Why is the Earth this way up? Well it's just drawn this way up because the early cartogrophers drew it like that and that's why globes and maps have the Arctic at the top. There is no physical reason why the North pole has to be where it is at all. So we could have Antarctica at the top.

Maybe the earth is flat after all.  Don't fall off the edge!
