my yukka plant has leaves falling of its stems, the stems have gone soft, what do i do, and new shoots are appearing but they are appearing from the ground, at the bottom

this is normal for the leaves to fall off from the stem.... as for the new leaves at the bottom, if you wish for them to shoot and grow then let them, but generally you have to cut them and this will new leaves apear at the top of the plant......if you leave them then this will sap all of the plants energy and it will concerntrate to grow from the new shoots rather than producing new leaves...
