Electric underblanket

Has anyone used single underblankets on a Superking bed? The heating elements on the only superking blanket I could find are actually no winder than a king sized blanket so I wondered about getting two single ones instead. Will there be two control sockets in the middle of the bed which will be uncomfortable?

Toureman - do you have one yourself, and if so can you tell me how much space there is on either size which does not get heated? Does it have a gap down the middle?
