Always the worst day of the year for me, all my friends chattering on about the treats their families have planned, my own mother with end stage dementia, ... Moan over, better get back to my spring cleaning

I have only really started participating in Mother's Day since I met my Stepmum.

up till then it was a day that passed with sadness due to my miscarriages and my relationship with my mother.

Both sunshine and sorrow here, which is probably common. Sad for the loss of my mum in 1990 (still talk to her).

A happy tear when reading a card from one daughter, which she bought on  the way to visit me yesterday and then discovered that the only writing implement in the car was a kid's crayon - so she used that!

Thanks Peter, I like RH missed out on having children due to miscarriages,  glad it's over for another year.  Now to battle the Christians who nicked our Eostre!
