The Answerbank - Isn't it Ironic, don't you think?

Does anyone else think it's ironic that so many of the regular contributors to this sight seem to be of left of centre/ liberal progressive political views, given the owners of this site (a certain daily tabloid style newspaper well known for it's knee-jerk news stories)?

Personally, I think, as you do, that The Answerbank reflects the attitudes of its regular visitors, of which we are merely two, and has little or no connection with the political or social stance - what ever they may be, of its financiers. As I understand it, the AB chiefs are employed by the umbrella company, not the individual newspaper, so they could easily be as liberal / progressive as the rest of us.

Answerbank appears to be run by a subsidary (Front of Mind) of the Daily Mail and General trust which is a huge organisation extending far beyond the Daily Mail itself into all forms of media including print, broadcast and online. While I personally do not find the editorial tone of the Daily Mail to my liking I don't see why this should prevent me reading or using any of the other products produced by the group, including the ever useful Loot and a whole range of regional newspapers. In a similar way I'm sure that readers of the Sunday Times would generally distance themselves from some of the other papers produced in the very same building as it.
