I feel for this woman but this troubles me.  Did any of the victims of Greenfell get anything like that amount of compensation?  The bereaved relatives, the injured?  The emergency responders?

This level of compensation must make it difficult for companies to make the decision to sack employees.

She was unfairly treated and deserves to be compensated.  The hr team needs to be suitably punished.

It is difficult to not equate her payment against the money paid to the survivors.

The two issues are completely separate.

I don't think anyone, however caring or intelligent, could even begin to justify this payout. It's utterly disgraceful.

She asked for justice for her wrongful dismissal. She didn't ask for £4.6M and a record payout does seem excessive in the circumstances.

Most of these claims are driven by no win no fee lawyers, the cowboy outfits if you like, a good example is the cash cows who defend immigrants. I wounder how much it has cost the council to try and defend this action? on top of the payout.

The judge ( tribunal chair) found that council officers had lied in evidence - oo-er Mrs !

She can donate her own money to anyone she pleases; no doubt pious ABers have given their own to the people they've suggested.
