I have been playing the piano since I was 5 but never practiced much because my teacher was very strict and I also have autism so I can do figure things out on my own very well I also played the guitar and started flute when I was finishing High school I'm 27 now is it too hard to start working now?

Never too old. Make some demos, shop them around. Better to try and fail than to never try, and you never know, you might hit jackpot.

I have a friend who played guitar a bit in his youth then pursued a career in IT. In his 40s he took up guitar again & played as an amateur in local folk clubs. He took lessons and became quite proficient forming a duo called "Take Two" who recorded some CDs. He now performs in a group with his step daughter as singer as well as playing for his own enjoyment.

So - yes it is possible if you have some talent and you are prepared to work on developing it.

In life it is always too easy to feel you are too young to be doing something, or too old to be doing something. When you feel that way it's likely to be just negative thinking. If you want to do something (moral of course) then try it and see how wrong you were to doubt yourself.
