If you say so. I live in the modern age and I know what my local butcher uses and where his meat is sourced. We all know about sawdust in sausages but that was history also.

Sorry but your now talking to someone who spent the first 25 years in the meat industry, from the early sixties when the local butcher put sawdust on the floor to stop staff and customers slipping, not in the sausage. And I'm well up to speed of the modern day of today.

By the way all meat is now tracked to where it is sourced from local butchers and supermarkets and the main reason for that is if there's any kind of outbreak, the likes of foot and mouth and many other problems cattle can have, its so public health can track the problem within a few hours. Its nothing special to local butchers.

nicebloke1, why do you say "Faggots / meatballs one of the same" when there are quite a number of different ingredients in them ie, offal in faggots but not in meatballs.  Not in the ones I have had anyway.
