I know this question is very different to my normal questions, but I want to know how to set my profile picture.

The edit profile page says that i need to 'Go through an short introductory period', and tells me that i need to make 10 more legitimate posts, and somehow spend -209 days longer on the site? 

I wish i could send screenshots of my page, but it wants -209 days more on the site. I'm going to attempt to do this, so you can get a visualisation of what im talking about.

You can open up an account with Wordpress/Gravatar in advance and submit and edit a profile avatar in readiness for your probationary time to pass. Remember you MUST use the same email address that you used for Answerbank to have the chosen avatar accepted by the Answebank. Also remember to check the box on Wordpress/ Gravatar that designates image rating.

If your profile is showing that you need to spend a further negative number of days on the site (or that you need to submit a further negative number of posts) then, assuming that you've registered an avatar on Gravatar.com and activated it in your profile, something's gone wrong at AB's end. 

That's happened to several people lately but has always been resolved by sending an email to the Editor: [email protected]

You don't seem to have reached that stage yet though, as I suspect that you've not got things sorted out with Gravatar at this stage.

I set mine up over a decade ago and it's just stopped working.

That means that everything is OK at Gravatar's end and also that AB's server is correctly connecting to Gravatar's one.  

Start by clicking on 'View your profile' and checking that your avatar is activated.  If it is, try deactivating it, logging out, logging back on and then reactivating it.  If that doesn't help, email the Ed.  (Address above)
