Okay thanks... I was just puzzled as to why you  gave the pattern as ?H?P when you also say the last letter from LiarLiar is R... so pattern would be ?H?R

Tanx for reply the problem is the I in liar (first ) word of answer and the p in ship in the second answer. Only one can be used.so will use the I as liar liar is the answer to  very first clue of the crossword which knocks out the h in ship.makes sense only when rte 14 viewed.Tanx for yours.
