The answer is a five-letter word and you have up to six attempts at finding it.

If a square turns green, the letter is in the answer and in the correct position.

If the square turns yellow, the letter is in the answer but not in the correct position.

The guesses must be a word in the dictionary they use and they use American spellings so "COLOR" is an acceptable guess.

Some folk use a different word each time and others use the same two words that contain all five vowels between them and other commonly used letters, such as "ADIEU" and "STORM".

Even if you get some of the letters in the correct positions you don't need to include them in subsequent guesses.

You can use completely different words in the hope they will either show other letters in the answer or eliminate them.

There's a new challenge each day and it changes at midnight local time which is why you might see folk posting their answers hours before you can have a go.
