My Avatar Won't Come Back !

It seems my suspension has reduced me to newbie status from the avatar perspective. There is a warning note in my profile which states :-

Dear Canary42,

New users do not have immediate access to an Avatar, but after a short introductory period you will be able to set your own Avatar.

You may connect with Gravatar in -5520 days and after 10 more legitimate posts.

The problem of members requiring a negative number of days here before being able to see their avatar alongside their posts (even though it's already present on their profile) has come up a lot lately. 

In every case that I know of, an email to the Ed seems to have got the matter rectified: [email protected]

I didn't understand any of the instructions given. I'd better not get suspended.  I've tried to  set up an avatar - but can't remember original email address or password :(

Yes, I know it's on my profile page - but it doesn't migrate to posts.

To view the email address that you've got registered with AB, click 'View your profile' and then on 'Edit My Profile'.

If you create a Gravatar account using the same email address, your avatar should automatically be picked up here.  (You don't need to use the same password).

Yes Crapat, that was the foundation of my title, although I was a bit hesitant because it is a bit dated.
