They're thinking up the next con.

One of the problems with the gullible is that they always think that it’s not them.

same as before - religion is a falsehood

Probably that they got the wrong eclipse BUT that if their flocks continue to send in the $$$$ they will be even more prepared for when the next event rolls around.

Religion is a curse on humanity, that hate and intolerance.

Simple as that.

The human brain is still evolving and needs to worship. This is via religions, pop stars , football teams .....

the world was meant to end 1 Jan 1959 - I cannot remember what they said oon 2Jan - - our calcs were wrong, I think.

.

The Rapture is an eschatological position held by some Christians, particularly those of American evangelicalism, consisting of an end-time event when all dead Christian believers will be resurrected and, joined with Christians who are still alive, together will rise "in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air."

no I think that is resurrection - rapture is the bit  beforehand that affects only some

Nicholas Cage has made a few (bad) films on this - for lulu, he was short of money - the  acting involves looking as tho they are on the drug Spice

there was an excellent film on the subject, but I haven't seen it these last 33 years
