I know we've aired this one before, but this morning I excelled. I caught an early bus into town (bus pass valid all day on Saturdays) to do some shopping at Hobbycraft. Arriving before they opened I popped into local café for breakfast.  I then called at newsagent for a newspaper before returning to the bus station and got a bus home (realising my mistake halfway, but couldn't be bothered to change).

Grrrrrr..

That's classic 🤩

Misreading nearly half the posts I've answered on AnswerBank, after my return to AnswerBank. I think out of the dozen questions I've answered, I've managed to either completely misread half of them. Those are my daft things I've done recently.

I have to write myself a note as I frequently set out to buy a specific item from the supermarket, but return without it.

windywillow: I'm like that too. Sometimes I write the note and still manage to forget to buy the item(s), or I just forget to take the note with me lol.

😁

That happens me too Dizmo!

The only way I can remember shopping (stuff I don't usually buy) is to write it on my hand. I know it's not very healthy, however it's the only way to be 100% sure I won't forget.

At the moment my left hand has the following written on it:

Mo Food, Wake *partners name* at 12:00, camp power cable, chem toilet, car blind, EON!.

My right hand has a smiley face drawn on it, so that it doesn't feel left out.

So, me saying "however it's the only way to be 100% sure I won't forget" clearly isn't the case.

I forgot to wake my partner up at 12:00. So, that's my new answer; claiming that my method of remembering always works and then managing to still forget and be 20 minutes late waking up my partner - that's my 'recent daft thing'.

thought i'd give my face a quick splash with water my, vision went all blurry until i realised i had my glasses on x

Nice one, Canary - the equivalent of going into the kitchen (other rooms are available) and forgetting why you went there in the first place. We've all done it, but not at such a grand scale of that of yours. 😊

My sight has got much worse recently but I can't blame I on that.  I was making a chicken casserole thing and thought I'd liberally sprinkle in some new chicken seasoning - paprika and lemon - except that in my haste I'd picked up powdered chilli.

Ouch - I managed to quieten it down with Boursin cubes.  It was quite nice in the end.

I saw the doctor, in short notice, to get refills for an important medication.

Picked up 1 grocery item for my grandmother.

Walked Up A Hill!!

and worried about all the things I didn't get done

Canary - sorry but I did laugh lol!

Sorry Julie...but I don't get that story at all in relation to canary's topic
