me and my husband just having a nostalgic talk about perfumes our mums used to wear (charlie).
do people still wear the old "classics" such as youth dew?
that perfume still makes me heave and brings to mind old ladies' knickers!
I wear eternity (calvin klein) or pink pepperpod (molton brown)

I wear Eau Dynamisante by Clarins, in this weather. It’s very cooling. I also wear Narcisco Rodriguez and CK1

many years ago my friend went to the chemist when they were tiny chemists - this was run by about 3 men. she wanted to get the Charlie and asked them could she smell their Charlie - when she realised what she said she run LOL

sanmac...Shalimar is one of the great classics, a favourite of mine...and it's definitely still made. I have several of those distinctive bottles. I just wish I had reason to wear it more often.

Chanel Coco Mademoiselle and Jo Malone Earl Grey and Cucumber are the only ones I can stand the smell of. DKNY did one called Summer which I loved but I think it's been discontinued. Haven't seen it around in ages.

Does anybody remember a perfume called Pagan ? It's from the 70's. My then husband used to buy it for me. I loved it. Nowadays I like Ghost and Tresor. My Mum used to wear Angel and I always associate that smell with her now. I used to wear Youth Dew back in the day, but never associated the smell with old ladies knickers !
