. . . but one that I really like!

I'm referring to Aunty Beeb always filling a page of her website with pictures of dogs outside polling stations whenever there's an election taking place.

Enjoy!

What would Larry say?

Most of them look bored - hardly surprising.

I had to copy and paste that link Chris to get it to work.

Yes, not surprising. You can't get on Antiques Roadshow unless you've got a dog with you.

In the past, there was always a policeman outside polling stations. Maybe they think a dog can do better! 😊

^^^ I'm just heading out to our local polling station now, Canary42, where I'm expecting the staff to look even more bored than those dogs!  (We're only voting for the Police & Crime Commissioner here, which is an election not noted for its particularly high turnout!).

[Just a thought though:  Shouldn't a 'crime commissioner' be someone who commissions crime?] ❓

Buenchico, we're the same, only voting for the Police Commissioner so I haven't bothered, for the first time ever. In Norfolk too?

Question Author

^^^ I'm down the road in Suffolk, Zebo.

I've just voted for the PCC candidate who's standing on a policy of abolishing the role of PCC!

We're only voting for the PCC this time - we meant to vote, but a seemingly interminable AGM in a cold church this afternoon meant we only wanted to get home and warm.  1st time I haven't voted.

Question Author

^^^ They weren't exactly struggling to cope with the rush at my local polling station, Jourdain2!

I voted days ago.  3 councillors and Police Commissioner IIRC.

On Wednesday, they closed the road that our polling station is on. I bet that didn't help turnout.

I hate to see dogs tied up outside without their owners.  Let's hope someone is watching them. I'm sure I read recently that dog theft was at its highest ever level in this country.
