I'm Done
6 months sober, fall of the wagon,
havnt been sober since saturday! Been in hospital 3 timessince.
Nuts to it all. ..
Chance what your view/take on life is, theres just some people that just cant handle it.

My pastv haunts me!Been sober is one thing, dealing with life is another. I cant do life anymoere.

You feel vulnerable and weak now but you'll get past this just as you have before. It's hard when your head is in a dark place but you know you can overcome it because you've done it. Try to focus on the good things in your life - and the good things in you. Think how much you've helped people and cared for people. They would all have been the worse without you. We all have unwanted skeletons and doubts rattling around in our heads - we're all human - but what's done is done and none of us can change a smidgeon of it so don't beat yourself up - for anything. Keep talking on here, wiz, and look forward to a brighter tomorrow,

hi nailedit pal / don,t give up. some people will say, i know how you feel, there re some worse off. meangless words, i like a drink and a ciggy. i am nearly 79 , housebound and disabled / my legs don,t work and i keep falling. many hospital visits mri scans needles in my arms and legs and electrical immpuses to check my nerves. right arm has nerve damage and i have constant pins n needles in my fingers.my wife does everything for me dressing washing and toilet help.
i shall soldier on. all the best nailedit

Dear naildit - as others have said - you've done it once, you can do it again and stick to it. You were so happy, try to remember the trips with your granddaughter.
May sound stupid - but The Archers has a storyline about a recovering alcoholic who was coaxed into falling off the wagon. She's climbed right back on it - too much to lose.
