Where food is concerned I'm set in my ways.  It took a long time for me to get used to pineapple on pizza.

I think peaches would be too exotic for me.

I was in a Pizza Hut once in Florida, ordering a pizza for the kids (I never eat pizza. Don't know what anyone sees in them) Anyway, when I was asked what topping, I said cheese and pineapple. A guy behind me said "You English really do have some weird ideas for toppings". He then preceeded to order one topped with strawberry, pumpkin and melon topping. Sheesh!

I ordered some roses for the wife once from aDSA (on the grocery).  Twice they replaced it with a tin of roses!  The second time the delivery driver was wetting himself, seems there are manybodd substitutes sent.

I've also had substitutes that replicate an item already on the shopping list.  Why would anyone thing giving another item the same as already ordered a good thing?

I had half of the pizza for breakfast.  The tinned peaches are safely stowed away at the back of the cupboard.

re substitutions one supermarket here phones to say what is not available on the delivery day and tells you what they have instead, the other you  check if you want a substitute or not

Hawaiian pizzas have pineapple as noted (though I do without the ham); I'm surprised the people of Florida don't know about it yet. They're the two southernmost states.
