Does anyone here actually do this?? Or do you just have the same duvet on your bed all year round? I only ask because we have just the one, which is quite a thick one, and last night I was just so hot that I thought why on earth don't I just but a much lighter weight one for the summer? ( only slight issue would be storing this bigger one somewhere until winter but that's about it).

Three duvets, winter 15 tog, spring Autumn 10.5, summer 6.  Just put the Summer one on.it

My duvet is a 2 parter which has press studs.
A thin layer, and a medium layer.

In Summer I use the thin layer (and wash the medium one).
In Autumn I use the medium layer (and wash the thin one).
In Winter both layer are combined.
In Spring I discard the thin and use the medium one.

No duvets.

Warm, sticky nights: Just a sheet.

Most nights: A sheet, topped with a throw.

Very cold nights: An extra throw on top of the above.

I have a single bed with a 5Tog duvet.

In hot weather I rotate the duvet 90 degrees to expose from knees down and chest up

Below zero, I get out the ancient hot water bottle

A 4.5 tog all year. I've got a collection of fleece throws to layer, and an under mattress topper electric blanket.

I hate the weight of heavier duvets...I feel smothered.  Yet my feet must be covered.
