I've been thinking I should cut back on the bread.  Boiled eggs without toast would be like fish and chips without vinegar.

What other way to cook eggs so they can be eaten without bread?

You can fry them and put them on your steak. Or buy them as Scotch eggs, delicious. Scrabled is nice with tomato, or mushroom, added cheese helps too. Or poached with sausage, bacon, again tomato or mushroom.

I'll have a try at the omelettes.

I've been eating 6 to 8 slices of bread each day.  I know that's too much.

If it's only bread you want to avoid, nothing nicer than egg and chips.

Try eggs with some hash browns or other potato rostis (the Waitrose ones are nice)  You don't need that many and you can bulk it all out with fried mushrooms.

Plenty of good suggestions to mull over.

Thanks all.

I always have mine scrambled; 2-3 eggs scrambled & cooked via microwave, with plenty of butter & some "Himalayan pink salt" ... might not sound all that great, but I swear it tastes so good, you won't even want anything else on the plate. If you want something to replace bread, though? I figure hash browns or even "potato bread" (since potato doesn't count as bread) works out even better, as they are both easily enjoyed with eggs. I might also suggest crumpets, croissants or pancakes, but many people do consider them as bread; despite being in a category of their own, so perhaps it's not what you're looking for (but I CAN say they're a very tasty replacement for actual bread). 😋
