Globalisation has pluses regarding using the world's resources efficiently/effectively but it should be considered a non-starter as it passes power away from citizens and their elected government and over to the hands of private merchants etc..  Finding a balance that improves efficiency without allowing global companies to dictate what's profitable for them & blow the people because they don't matter and are just there to be used (and that's their own fault), is the challenge.

Experts in the field can help point the way to personal change, suggest practices and environment for example, but ultimately it is a task only the disturbed can truly tackle.
