I had a suspected eptopic pregnancy last year and so I know that a characteristic of an eptopic pregnancy can be getting combination of positive and negative results from pregnancy tests, so yes there is a chance that you could be having an eptopic pregnancy despite having a negative test.
Hope you get it sorted soon
hi sorry to hear that youve not been well :(
i would thinkby now that if it was ectopic and the test was wrong you would now be in real agony , however it has been known that a positive result followed a negative soif pain worsens get medical assistance immediately. Have you had regular smears ???, or been checked for Fibroids / Endometriosis think symptoms need to be checked out more X lol
The thing with having an ECTOPIC (not eptopic)pregnancy is that in order for the pregnancy sac to cause pain, it has to be a decent size, and to be a decent size, it has to be quite a few weeks into the pregnancy... ie.. around the 6 weeks mark. Any pregnancy of 6 weeks will definately be producing enough of the Beta HCG hormone to be detected in a pregnancy test, and hence the test would be positive.
So in response to the question... 'could it still be an ectopic?'....... its unlikely. I wonder might you have an ovarian cyst??
If your pain persists, I suggest you go back to your GP who may send you along for an ultrasound scan to take a look at whats going on inside.
Best wishes
