Bad Start To The Day
I've done a full load of washing, forgot I had already put dishcloths, floorcloths etc in to the machine intending to do a boil wash and now everything smells of dishcloths.
On it goes again, minus cloths :(
How's your morning?

Younger daughter + 2 kids + 2 dogs (glutton for punishment) has brought her caravan to Filey for a few days. We fixed up to visit for a picky lunch today & discussed who had what to offer.
I told her I had frozen Chinese Spring Rolls in the freezer to cook, mini Melton meat pies, smoked salmon canapes, cheese & salad.
This morning, walked dog, went to fetch Sat. paper, quick coffee and then packed up cooler box. When putting food on table daughter rummaged for Spring Rolls...... they were still in the freezer.... I'd completely forgotten.
We've had a lovely day anyway, thanks. 😊
You think you've got problems. On Wednesday I decided I would soak some cloths in bleach. I have a one and a half sink so put both plugs in put the bleach and cloths and and ran some water. Nipped out to do a bit of shopping locally and came back to find the kitchen flooded and full of steam. 😱 I'd left the taps running a little bit. Luckily we keep a load of old towels in the garage which soaked up a bit of it and a mop and bucket. Everything in the cupboards was soaked as well so had to be pulled out and dried. All in all took us a couple of hours to sort out.
Barry, Hunmanby is still quite small, most building is infill, but having problems at the moment because both the greengrocer's and bakery have cloosed and are for sale. The Co-op has a small store though. I go through Hunmanby on my way to Filey and it houses the nearest chemist.
Did you know that William the Conqueror gifted the manor & lands of Hunmanby (named because they bred hunting hounds there) to his cousin Sir Gilbert de Gant? I didn't ,until I started the research (lots and lots of it) formy 1/4-finished historical novel set in these parts.
