Holiday in the sun

I always go to Protoras (Cyrpus) and stay in the Sunrise Beach Hotel but I would like to go somewhere different. I'd like the hotel to be 4 - 5 star and on the beach. I want the hotel to have a grassed area with the sunbeds on. I'd like the resort to be quiet (no discos or if any 1/2 at the most). Somewhere in europe - no long haul flights from the UK. Any ideas welcome

What's the beach like in Larnaca? I always thought it was dark and dreary looking whereas in protaras it's golden. Am i being to fussy?

paphos hotels are nice,try ledra beach,annabel,alexander the great or the coral bay hotel.

The beach in Larnaca is lovely,and about 8kilometers away towards Aya napa theres a beach called the family beach, which is lovely. There is a long promenade in Larnaca with cafes along it, and a lovely town with good shops behind. I was well impressed with the place.

The beach in Larnaca (Dhekelia Road ) where the Golden Bay is situated is a private beach for the hotel and is well kept, nice and sandy .Sun beds plus sun shades in the hotel ground and on the beach are reserved for you from arrival until holiday ends, no more getting up at 6am to beat you know who?

Looks very nice and definitely a consideration.

I'm surprised that no one has suggested anywhere in Greece though. I've been to Rhodes and the Hotel was superb (Atrium Palace Hotel) but the beach was shingle and you needed shoes to get into the sea.
